Bopath Ella
is formed by the Kalu Ganga. The speed of the water drop in the waterfall is 6
square meter per second and Bopath ella is 30 meters of high.Visitrors from
Colombo are the most common peoples who visit to see the water fall.Commercilization
is a reason for pollution the waterfall's natural environment.Udakada and
Kuruwita areas are mainly used the water from the Bopath ella for the paddy
fields.
In 2001 Government has try to produce the hydroelectricity
using the Bopath Ella but the project has not proceed due to the environmental sustainability.
